The space between winter and spring is often overlooked.
It’s not fully cozy-winter anymore, but it’s not bright-spring either. It’s in-between — and I’ve learned that there’s something incredibly beautiful about that.
March is the art of transition.
Finding Beauty in the In-Between
We’re so used to celebrating big shifts — the start of the new year, the first day of summer, the holidays.
But what about the quiet middle?
The slightly warmer mornings.
The softer light at 6 p.m.
The way your mood slowly lifts without you realizing why.
Romanticizing this season means noticing those subtle details.
Soft Mornings & Light Evenings
Lately, my mornings feel calmer. I open my curtains earlier. I let natural light wake me instead of rushing into my phone.
In the evenings, I’ve been turning off overhead lights and switching to lamps. It makes everything feel golden and warm — like the room itself is glowing.
These small adjustments change how my day feels.
Dressing & Living for the Mood
I’ve started wearing lighter sweaters instead of heavy layers. Soft neutrals instead of dark winter tones.
I bake something citrusy instead of cinnamon-heavy. Lemon loaf instead of gingerbread. It’s these tiny swaps that help me lean into the transition without forcing it.
Romanticizing March means allowing yourself to enjoy the slow shift — not rushing to the next season.
There’s beauty in becoming.
