It seems like we spend most of our childhoods preparing to go into the workforce. Of course our career choices are a big part of who we are. Sometimes people do something they don’t like, but I have always loved the saying “If you like your job, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I have quite a few “dream jobs”. Read on to learn about them and why they are appealing to me.
- A veterinarian
My number one dream job, and the career path I am currently on. I have wanted to go into veterinary medicine since I was four years old. I’m almost 20 and this is still my plan. I am still in the early stages, but I am on my way to achieving my biggest childhood dream.
2. Criminology
I have always been fascinated by the criminal mind. My family (especially my mom) thinks that makes me weird, but I have always wondered what makes people make the choices they do. I think if I was not on the veterinary medicine career path, I would be training to go into a criminology field.
3. An Author
If I wasn’t on the veterinary medicine career path and I wasn’t training to be a criminologist, I’d be writing books. People who can tell stories, and right pieces that are profound amaze me. Beautiful things and incredible stories that I read when I was nine, or 10, and 12 or 13 have stuck with me, and they most likely will for the rest of my life. I have been told I tell good stories. I may even still try to become an author one day.
4. A florist
I have loved flowers for as long as I can remember. If I was not going to follow any of the three career paths mentioned above, I think I would probably be a florist.
I would love to have any of these four careers, and hopefully one day I will, but most importantly, I want to do something that supports me and makes me happy. Let me know what your dream job is in the comments below, and thank you for reading.
