Top ten items I bring to the beach/pool?

As the summer comes to a close, I find myself spending more time by the pool as the craziness of early and midsummer comes to a close. I thought I would talk about what I like to bring with me while sitting by the pool or going to the beach. Read on if you want to find out!

  1. Sunscreen/tanning products

It is so important to protect your skin. If you couldn’t tell, SunBum is my favorite brand for these kinds of products. I use the 30 SPF for my body, and the 50 for my face and tattoos. I also alternate between using the tanning lotion and tanning oil while laying out in the sun.

2. A book

Next, is a book. It depends on if I’m in the water and what I am currently reading, but while I’m tanning, it’s always nice for me to be able to read.

3. A sun hat

Having a sun hat is nice because it becomes an extra layer of protection from the sun.

4. Swimwear

Sometimes if I’m at the beach, I like to bring the swimsuit I will be wearing along with me. Photographed below are one of my sunhats and one of my favorite bikinis to wear (although I certainly do have a lot of favorite swimsuits).

5. Water bottle

I like to bring my Hydroflask with me so that I can have water available, especially on the days that are extremely hot.

6. A towel

I like to bring a big beach towel in case I want to lay on it or need to dry off.

7. Sunglasses

Sunglasses are important to me because I have really sensitive eyes, so I can keep the sun and, in some cases, the sand out of my eyes.

8. Extra set of clothes

You never know what will happen, so I like to bring an extra outfit, just in case, when visiting the pool or beach.

9. Snacks

A lot of times when visiting the pool or beach, I am there all day long, so it is always a good idea to have snacks in case I get hungry.

10. Cooler for the snacks and extra drinks

It is a good idea, especially on really hot days, to have a cooler for snacks and extra drinks just in case.
